Design Quora: a Q&A platform where users ask questions, write answers, vote, and follow topics and people, and get a personalised feed of questions and answers. Focus on routing unanswered questions to likely answerers, the topic model, answer ranking, duplicate-question detection, search and the personalised feed. Out of scope: ads and the ML model training pipeline.
Requirements
- Model questions, topics (a hierarchy), answers, votes and follows
- Rank the home feed and, separately, answers within a question, without entrenching early answers
- Detect duplicate questions as they are typed, and merge with redirects
- Support search, answer requests, notifications and moderation
